Taking a Pause, Floating Forward, and Crafting Through Christmas in July

Hello creative souls!

You may have noticed it’s been a little quiet around here the past couple of weeks. Life at the college kept me extra busy earlier this month, and I followed that stretch with something I’ve really needed—some genuine, soul-refreshing rest. 💆‍♀️💫

I had the chance to float peacefully down the river, letting the current carry away all the noise and to-do lists. The sun peeked through the clouds in the most magical way, and I let myself simply be for a little while. It reminded me that stillness is often the first step back into creativity.

Now I’m back in my studio, and you know what that means… it’s Christmas in July time! 🎄✨

This week I’m diving into holiday cardmaking using some festive new goodies from Stampin’ Up! The first card I created was inspired by a sample project on the Stampin’ Up! website. I kept things simple and classic with rich reds, a sweet holly wreath, and a warm holiday greeting.

Then I created a second version with a more textured feel, using a holly-embossed background and a different sentiment. Both cards use the same key elements, but it’s amazing how layering and embossing can take a card from simple to stunning!

If you’d like to recreate either of these cards, I’ll be sharing all the measurements and supply lists in my Facebook group on Sunday, August 3rd. Be sure to join us over at Celestial Wolf Paper Crafts so you don’t miss out!

Whether you’re easing back into creativity like I am, or you’ve been in full holiday-crafting mode all month long, I hope you’ll give yourself a moment to float, reflect, and make something magical. You deserve it. 💖

Happy crafting,
Lorie
