Add Beautiful with Paper Tearing – No Embossing Folder Needed!

Hello, crafters! If you’re looking for a quick, beginner-friendly way to add texture and visual interest to your handmade cards, let me introduce you to one of my favorite techniques—paper tearing! It’s an easy, no-fuss method that adds beautiful depth to your project without needing an embossing folder or die-cutting machine.

This week’s Card Kit to Go features the dreamy Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper. In this card, I layered torn strips from the DSP to create a soft, rustic background that draws the eye and gives the card a handcrafted, textured look.

Why I Love Paper Tearing:
•       It’s forgiving—no perfect lines needed.
•       It adds movement and softness to even bold patterns.
•       It layers beautifully with stamps, embellishments, and even twine!

The stamped sentiment from the Everyday You & Me stamp set paired with florals and greenery adds the perfect touch of friendship. I topped it off with a tag from the Mixed Label stamp set and a bit of linen thread for an earthy, finished look.

Don’t forget the inside! I added a few more torn strips to carry the design through and used another sentiment to let someone know they’re on my mind.

Along with the fun DSP, I used the Mixed Labels stamp set. This stamp set has great sentiments for all your friendship cards.
