Blended Beauty with Happy Hibiscus: A Pastel Celebration Card

Some cards just radiate joy—and this one might be my favorite yet!

For this “Congratulations” card, I pulled out the Happy Hibiscus bundle and let the flowers do the talking. I embossed the design to give it that lovely raised texture, and then brought it to life using my blending brushes with a soft round of inks: Fresh Freesia, Crushed Curry, Petal Pink, Highland Heather and Pretty in Pink. The gentle blend creates a dreamy, watercolor vibe that feels like spring sunshine and flower petals.

To add a little more magic, I layered in some Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper as a subtle accent. It ties in beautifully with the pastel palette and adds just enough contrast to keep things interesting without overpowering the florals.

Of course, I couldn’t resist finishing it off with a stitched sentiment banner and a sweet little ribbon loop for added dimension. Inside, I kept it simple—just a strip of coordinating DSP on each side of the writing panel to tie it all together.

This card is perfect for celebrating big milestones like weddings, graduations, new jobs—or even those little wins we sometimes forget to acknowledge. (You finished that project you’ve been putting off? You deserve a card!)

What do you think—who would you send this card to? Let me know in the comments! And don’t forget to subscribe for more crafty inspiration with a mystical twist.

Until next time—stay wild, stay creative,
Lorie
