Enduring Beauty – Last Chance
This is the last week of April, and next week the new catalog will be available to shop. So this week there won’t be a Card-Kit-To-Go. I will be posting cards I’ve made this past year with Last Chance items from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. I will be back next week with a new Card Kit, with new product! Today’s card was made with the Enduring Beauty stamps, dies, and mask. This was one of the first cards I made with my starter kit. This was my first card using the masks. I love how easy it is to create lovely cards with color and depth. Enduring Beauty is definitely…

Blended Beauty with Happy Hibiscus: A Pastel Celebration Card
Some cards just radiate joy—and this one might be my favorite yet! For this “Congratulations” card, I pulled out the Happy Hibiscus bundle and let the flowers do the talking. I embossed the design to give it that lovely raised texture, and then brought it to life using my blending brushes with a soft round of inks: Fresh Freesia, Crushed Curry, Petal Pink, Highland Heather and Pretty in Pink. The gentle blend creates a dreamy, watercolor vibe that feels like spring sunshine and flower petals. To add a little more magic, I layered in some Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper as a subtle accent. It ties in beautifully with the…

You Make Me Smile – A Fresh Freesia Floral Card with Happy Hibiscus
Bring a little joy to someone’s day with this soft and elegant handmade card, created using the Happy Hibiscus bundle from Stampin’ Up! I chose Fresh Freesia as the main color for both the flowers and the card base—it adds such a dreamy, uplifting feel. The florals are paired with leafy greens and layered atop textures created with embossing folders and circle dies. The background is softened with a delicate strip of patterned paper from the Lovely Garden DSP. I love how it subtly frames the sentiment, “You Make Me Smile,” in a playful script. Inside, a sweet message of gratitude finishes it off: “Thanks for being so kind.” This…

Your Kindness Made My Day — Featuring Texture Techniques with a Twist!
There’s something magical about blending soft florals with unexpected texture, and today’s project captures that balance beautifully. This handmade card features the stunning Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper, paired with the heartfelt sentiments from the Everyday You & Me stamp and die bundle and the versatile Mixed Label stamps. The cheerful florals set a whimsical tone, while the two-tone cardstock brings depth and dimension. To enhance the layered look, I used an embossing folder on the cardstock and then gently sanded the surface to reveal the lighter core beneath. This technique adds a subtle weathered texture that perfectly complements the natural patterns in the DSP. Inside, a simple but sincere…

Everyday Happiness Card Inspiration – Featuring Layers, Texture, and Floral Magic
Today’s card project is all about layers, textures, and a little bit of Everyday Happiness! For this design, I used the Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper (DSP) to create a trio of vertical panels—each one showing off a different pattern and color story that ties together beautifully. I love how this paper brings such a soft, yet fresh vibe to the card. The background panel features the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder, which adds that lovely dimensional texture. It reminds me of vintage cardboard or worn journal pages—perfect for a bit of tactile interest! The florals on the front were stamped and die cut using the Everyday You & Me stamp…

Add Beauty with Paper Tearing – No Embossing Folder Needed!
Hello, crafters! If you’re looking for a quick, beginner-friendly way to add texture and visual interest to your handmade cards, let me introduce you to one of my favorite techniques—paper tearing! It’s an easy, no-fuss method that adds beautiful depth to your project without needing an embossing folder or die-cutting machine. This week’s Card Kit to Go features the dreamy Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper. In this card, I layered torn strips from the DSP to create a soft, rustic background that draws the eye and gives the card a handcrafted, textured look.
